Mithilfe des Calculatus CD-ROM Softwarekatalog Programms ist es möglich einen eigenen Freeware und Shareware Katalog zu erstellen und diesen als Selbststartende CD zu verteilen. Das Programm besteht aus zwei Programmteilen, wobei ein Programmteil nur für die Gestaltung und Erfassung mittels Datenbank zuständig ist, und das andere den eigentlichen CD-ROM Softwarekatalog darstellt. Die Programmoberfläche des späteren CD-ROM Softwarekataloges ist weitesgehend vorgegeben, und lässt sich in Punkto Menuauswahl und Gestaltung an eigene Bedürfnisse anpassen. Der gesamte Gestaltungsvorgang bis zum eigenen Softwarekatalog, werden direkt bei der Erstellung Schritt für Schritt erklärt, und ist einfach gehalten. Das Programm eignet sich nicht nur für Privatanwender, sondern kann durchaus auch für kleinere kommerzielle CD-ROM Softwarekataloge eingesetzt werden.
