Ein dem Windows-Notepad ähnlicher Editor, der das übersichtliche highlighten von verschiedenen Script und Programmiersprachen unterstützt. Druckfunktion von Quelltexten und Exportieren in HTML oder RTF (Word) sind mit inbegriffen. Neben Html-Farbwerten einfügen und Pluginfähigkeit kann man ihn zwischen deutscher und englischer Sprache umstellen.
Zusätzlich kann man das geschriebene Programm/Script gleich im externen Compiler/Interpreter ausführen lassen.
Der Compiler-Output wird dann im Fenster des 2ndEditors angezeigt. So kann man einfach Syntaxprüfungen seiner Scripte machen, oder sein geschriebenes Programm gleich mit Fehlerausgabe compilieren lassen.

Based on Perl 5.6, ActivePerl 5.6 is a significantly enhanced distribution, encompassing the new features available in Perl 5.6.
ActivePerl software is an integrated development environment (IDE) for the Java[tm] 2 Platform, Standard Edition (J2SE[tm] which provides a fully modular and easily extensible environment that delivers integrated visual design, editing, compilation, and debugging capabilities to create applets and Web-enabled applications.
The Windows package provides additional features to take advantage of that platform.
As part of ActiveState's support for Perl, ActiveState provides the ActivePerl binary packages free to the community.
In addition to the core binary code, ActivePerl 5.6 includes the following for all platforms: Perl Package Manager (PPM) - ActiveState's Perl extension installer and manager. PPM allows for easy installation and management of modules and extensions.
Installer - Various platform-specific and ActiveState Installers are available for each platform. Each allows for quick installation of the ActivePerl 5.6 package.
Documentation - Online documentation is included as part of the ActivePerl package. The ActivePerl Windows package also includes: Perl for ISAPI - this IIS plug-in enhances the speed of standard Perl. CGI PerlScript - ActiveX scripting engine for Perl.
All platform builds of ActivePerl 5.6 contain: Concurrent Interpreters; Granularity of warnings; New regex constructs; Lvalue subroutines; Subroutine attributes;

This Perl 5 library uses objects to create Web fill-out forms on the fly and to parse their contents.
It is similar to cgi-lib.pl in some respects.
It provides a simple interface for parsing and interpreting query strings passed to CGI scripts.
However, it also offers a rich set of functions for creating fill-out forms.
Instead of remembering the syntax for HTML form elements, you just make a series of Perl function calls.
An important fringe benefit of this is that the value of the previous query is used to initialize the form, so that the state of the form is preserved from invocation to invocation.
This package requires perl 5.004 or higher. Earlier versions of Perl may work, but CGI.pm has not been tested with them.
