FreeZip is a small, fast and efficient Zip utility for compression and decompression of files and directories in Windows 95/NT4.
FreeZip integrates with Windows Explorer and uses file associations and context menus to zip or unzip files, including long file names and subdirectories.

Ein Programm (bislang "ArjFolder") zur Erstellung von ICE, ZIP und ARJ-Archiven (ICE ist ein eigenes Format dieses Programms), es kann auch viele weitere Formate entpacken (GZIP, TAR, MS-CAB, RAR, ACE, JAR, LHA, IMP etc.). Zur Erstellung und Bearbeitung von ARJ muss es allerdings auf das Original zurückgreift (ARJ ist leider nur für privaten Gebrauch kostenlos). Zur Darstellung benutzt es den normalen "Windows Explorer" und bedient wird es über das Kontextmenü. Archive lassen sich auch derart umwandeln, dass sie im Explorer wie Verzeichnisse erscheinen. Auch Selbstentpacker mit Windows-Oberfläche können erzeugt werden. ARJ muß gesondert heruntergeladen werden: ARJ32 3.10 (463 KB).

NTFS ermöglicht transparente dateibasierte Kompression, die Kompressionsrate wird jedoch nicht angezeigt. Für jeden Ordner auf einem NTFS Laufwerk zeigt NTFSRatio Größe und Kompressionsrate des Ordners und seiner Unterordner an. Kompression und Dekompression kann direkt innerhalb von NTFSRatio mit sofortiger Kontrolle der Ergebnisse erfolgen. Druck und Export ist möglich. NTFSRatio kann aus dem Explorer Kontextmenü jedes Ordners gestartet werden.
